Ah sorry to hear that Anna You'll meet some fantastic people at uni, but just like any other social setting it tends to get fairly cliquey / closed-off / cold at times. There are a ton of people in the same boat as you, though. If you're looking for someone to hangout with Wed-Fri, shoot me a message.

By 'Synchotron' are you talking about the actual company parking or the free parking for Monash students right near it? (
If it's the free parking, that was filled by 10am this morning and had a queue of 5-10 cars waiting to go in.

If you attempt to park in the company parking a security guard will come and ask you to leave. I wouldn't be surprised if they tow the cars of those who don't oblige

From memory at this time of semester you're going to struggle to find a park if you're coming in for a 10am or later class.

For those of you who have late classes and struggle to find a park at the synchotron or are just looking for alternatives there is free, unrestricted parking, with plenty of spaces, located within a kilometre of the engineering buildings (which is closer than the synchotron for those who have classes in the top left of campus). I'll share this with you if you throw me a message (gotta keep my parking spot on the d-low, ya know?)

What happened? Was it just the vibe in general? I tended to stick to people I know today (first day on campus) so I didn't feel this - was it just talking to randoms and them ignoring you?; I am free tomorrow from 12-1PM. We could meet up

Hey, thankyou for the warm words ! I think part of it is that I've kind of (not really) fallen into the "popular highschool" type of crowd. I haven't ever really experienced this type of dynamic in a group or even associated with such people before, and it's just left me reeling a little amongst feeling really isolated and out of touch with everyone else. Also everyone seems to only be interested in the drinking/partying culture and that's not really my style haha :/

As for seeing you, I'd love to ! But I can't on Wednesday (no break) or Friday (not there) so Thursday night be the only day. Thankyou for the offer though

Yeah..people just don't really seem to be receptive towards me being friendly for some reason..maybe I killed them in a past life or something (shoutout to Euler! ). This seems to be fairly typical of my course but I seem to be feeling it more strongly due to the crowd I'm "with" if you could even say that at this stage haha.

On another note, I sat down to watch and note lectures and my computer's up to it's normal, poorly-timed fuckery. Apparently the bluetooth driver uninstalled and then decided not to update. FANTASTIC.

Like, why couldn't this shit happen when I'm not trying to work - i.e. most of the time?
