Is it too late to sign up for anything? :P

Soz, but yes. :P Uni prepares this stuff aaaages in advance, and getting onto the volunteer is no easy feat... Like, volunteers get turned down for some things. O.o

Have fun talking to keen parents students! :D

This is actually the bit I'm excited about! :D Not looking forward to the "so if I study this, and put in this many hours, do you think I can get in to your course??" - basically doing AN stuff at Monash LOL.

Next week is open day!! Anyone else here doing anything for it?

I myself have the lovely task of escorting people to lectures in the S1-S4 lecture theatres, and then later setting up shop to talk about my degree... Going to be a looooong day. >.<;

Will be helping out at the law faculty! If any year 10/11/12s are reading this, please come :)

Yeah I was lucky to volunteer for the med dep for a couple of years, there's like an application form and everything haha. Intense.

Shame I'll miss out not rocking up, was running out of pens and notepads :'( Will be instead helping out with doctor exams in eastern health! :D

If there's anyone out there that knows shit about select school exams (other than Pi, he's done his time), hit this kid up with some answers: North Sydney Boys YEAR 9 TEST INFO/HELP/TIPS? [NSW]

Nah this is an extra on the side I decided to get involved in because I'm keen on that career pathway (physician training) :)

Thought you were committed then until I realised you were a med student... #ineedsleep

That would actually be pretty sick though. Why'd he come to Monash?

If it makes you feel any better, I had a lecture in S5 on my first day, which I feel like is the worst place to find for a Jaffy. I walked around until I found the lecture theatre 30 minutes into the lecture, but then I was so nervous that I left and went home.

So I guess I'll get to know my tutor pretty well, seeing as how I have them for two different units this semester and we catch the same bus.

Might shell out for a parking permit so I can start driving to school  ::)

Hahaha. I'm not at monash but I'm lurking here :p. Let me tell you a little story. The first assignment I had to hand in was in a building that was being renovated, and somehow I made a wrong turn and ended up underground in some dungeon looking room. Luckily there was a fire escape door ('cause i was hella lost) which I opened but, unfortunately for me, it opened on to quite a busy area. Everyone was asking 'where the hell did she come from?' And I was too embarrassed to go back and hand in the assignment so I had to come back the next day which led to me losing marks.

I'm sorry to hear of such stories, but I can't help being amused by your experiences ! Embarrassment is the bane of our existence

Hahaha both of your stories made me feel a lot better actually, so I thank you !
