Ask Monash dont seem to be so active. Anyway, anyone help me out?
Hey Mnewin! Agreeing with K888 here, but just chipping in, as this is sort of the situation I'm in. I've finished my Bachelor of Science (without Honours) and have applied to graduate
in absentia in April/ May. For all intents and purposes, I call myself "graduated" from the course and just missing the transcript; technically speaking though, you can also consider yourself "course complete" until the graduation ceremony if you so wish to differentiate between pre-graduation and post-graduation.
As for the paper* transcript? You won't receive them until the graduation ceremony, regardless of the mode of graduation you pick. If you ask for it to be posted to you, that will take even longer (a week or two after the ceremony, depending on location). I think graduation is pushed earlier for international students, as their visas generally run out soon after they have successfully completed their degree. Thus, if you're an international student, you'll receive your transcript much earlier than domestic students. If you're domestic though, you'll just have to wait it out. In the meantime, have a small celebration! Finishing a degree takes a crazy amount of endurance, time and effort!
* There'll be an electronic version as well, to show employers with limited access, AFAIK. However, this also arrives around the time of graduation. In the meantime, you can still use your unofficial transcript or one you bought on WES until that comes through. (IIRC, WES still works for quite a while after course completion.) Please also take this advice with a grain of salt. This is as much as I know currently.
