Ok guys haha I've already worked at Maccas (for 1 1/2 years throughout VCE) so I really don't want to go back + horrible experiences.

I really want to work at Woolies or Coles but they always never seem to have positions vacant? Anyone confirm? Do I just apply via. their website?

With regards to tutoring - lel I rejected like so many students because I thought tutoring would be too stressful :S Bad choice probably..
If you've already got a year and a half of work experience, just keep applying. Are you close to Chadstone or another 'mall' complex?
✌️just do what makes you happy ✌️

Man same scenario here. I've worked in fast food, factory sites and have done volunteer work but it seems like no one's hiring. I was speaking to the manager at my supercheapauto about my interview and she's like they got 300+ applications within 24 hours. It's really the time were in, almost a third of year 12 graduates are applying or are working right now. I've been told the best time to apply is July-August. Perhaps by then update your resume, try volunteer work or something!

Ideas for where to volunteer ? Are some places looked upon more favourably than others ?

Unrelated but Zezima, in your sig, isn't your Arts/Law degree 5 years hence it should be 2015-2019? :P
Hate how some places don't like hiring you just because you're a teenager ugh

I always wanted to join the CFA but was rejected due to living outside of country fire jurisdiction. I tried to volunteer at a metropolitan brigade but they unfortunately do not allow volunteers. I think I might join the SES. But I want to volunteer because I think it was just be a ball as opposed to whacking on experience on the resume. I have a feeling everything will just work itself out.

oh yeh, if anyone knows anything about special consideration can you please read the last post on the last page ;) Signing out

Arts/Law can be completed in 5 years if the student overloads in two semesters (requires faculty approval) or undertakes two summer semester units or does one of each, otherwise it is longer. This is because 252 credit points are required to satisfy the requirements of the course, but only 240 of which can be fulfilled with normal full-time study.

Sorry for my recent spamming I'll disappear over the holiday break after this post :) So thanks in advance.

I was e-mailed back by tutor about my late assignment that was due on the 30th. His e-mail was great but it was lacking a little bit of clarity. I e-mailed him back asking if he could rephrase what he said but I don't expect him to reply until business hours so I'll ask here.

He advised me to try and obtain a textbook from the library or from a classmate but both are impossibilities. He also advised that I apply for special consideration. But he also told me to try do the assignment to reduce the risk of failing the unit as handing it in as after 10 days of being late it will not be accepted unless my special consideration is accepted. What I am asking is that if I am accepted for special consideration but handed in my assignment, am I able to just get rid of that assignment and redo it? If I'm getting special consideration so I can have some extra time to do the assignment I don't want to hand in the assignment within the 10-day period with it being a lot worse than what I could actually do with the materials.

If that doesn't make sense I'm happy to clarify.

There are a few people here doing the same unit as you. They have the book. The most relevant chapter to the assignment, chapter 13, is no more than 10 pages long. Maybe if you asked one of your classmates nicely they could send you a copy of the chapter. ;)

There are no impossibilities, just excuses.

I would ask a classmate but I don't have any. I haven't been to a tutorial for the unit yet I was a late enrolment.

If anyone on ATARnotes is doing Introduction to International relations and has the time to send a few photos through to me on my phone I'd appreciate it so much :)
