Same here! :D Is your moodle bugged out with 2014? Mine is very barebones at the moment which is pretty damn annoying, I can't even access the 2015 unit guide...

So I have an annoying problem with my transfers. I submitted 2 transfer requests for this semester, one for Arts/Commerce and another for Arts/Economics (my preferred one). I got an email saying I was accepted into Arts/Commerce and I have until the 24th of July to accept the offer, but I still haven't heard anything about my Arts/Economics transfer. Getting kind of concerned because if it doesn't come soon then I might miss the deadline for accepting the Arts/Commerce offer which would be pretty sucky if I was eventually unsuccessful in transferring into Arts/Economics.

Has anyone ever had a situation like this before? I figured I would go see student services on the 23rd if I still haven't heard anything by then.

Yeah, likewise. Do you use FB/some other social media? I need a FIT2014 buddy

It's the exact same as your year 12 preferences.. if you don't get your first pref, then you get your second pref.

This means you didn't get into Arts/Econ. You got into Arts/Comm.

But I didn't mark either of my transfers by preference (didn't go through VTAC) so I don't think it would work like that, also when I handed the forms in the person at the BusEco faculty's student services desk said I would receive each offer individually. I was also under the assumption that they would send an email advising whether or not each individual internal transfer request was successful or not.

Nup. If you don't get in they don't tell you, they just offer the other transfer (I was in a similar situation as you). I suggest calling the faculty to double check.

I see. Do you think there is a possibility that this situation could be different if the managing faculties are not the same? (the Business & Economics faculty manages the arts/commerce whereas the Arts faculty manages the arts/economics course.) I guess I'll just send an email to the arts faculty just to double check.

I'm almost positive it doesn't work as you say as you can receive two offers simultaneously. I was successful in my applications to both eng/sci and sci last year and received an email for each.

It might be different if you do it through VTAC, but I didn't even know you could do that for internal transfers or why you would to begin with.

As for them not telling you if you are unsucessful, that seems strange. I know that the faculties I went through said they would send emails of the result (seemingly insinuating they would tell you if it was successful or not), but maybe not all are the same. Either way no harm done in contacting the faculty to see if they have made a decision yet, extremeftw.

I agree, no harm in contacting them just to see how it is progressing. Thanks for your help.

The way each faculty handles all of their offers is different. I'm pretty sure what I said is the way the way the bus/eco faculty works. In saying that, I did not know that art/econ and art/comm were managed by two different faculties! If that's the case, then you should definitely call up and find out what's going on.

Good luck

Does anyone here do computer science? I has no ATARnotes friends who do compsci #plsHelpMe (zhen, I can't PM you for some reason)^^

:( Blame the admins I swear I haven't blocked you

Have fun with FIT2014, it was my lowest mark across all four years :( But then I was working full time and only showing up twice a week to hand in assignments hahaha, might have played a part in it.

Quick question; for those of you who do tutoring on the side, roughly how many students do you take before you say you're full up ? Cheers.
2014: VCE
2015: Bachelor of Nutrition Science @ Monash University

The answer to that question depends on how busy you are as an individual?
