Since I am currently completing the final four units of my degree, somebody asked me the other day to rank all 24. I would be quite interested to see other people's lists. The ones in italics are the ones I am currently undertaking.

Ohhh, this seems like a fun game.

1. CHM2990 INTRODUCTORY CHEMISTRY RESEARCH PROJECT
2. MTH3241 RANDOM PROCESSES IN THE SCIENCES AND ENGINEERING
3. MTH2232 MATHEMATICAL STATISTICS
4. CHM1051 CHEMISTRY I ADVANCED
5. CHM2911 SYNTHETIC CHEMISTRY
6. CHM3180 MATERIALS CHEMISTRY
7. MTH2222 MATHEMATICS OF UNCERTAINTY
8. CHM1052 CHEMISTRY II ADVANCED
9. MTH1035 TECHNIQUES FOR MODELLING (ADVANCED)
10. MTH2025 LINEAR ALGEBRA (ADVANCED)
11. MTH3230 TIME SERIES AND RANDOM PROCESSES IN LINEAR SYSTEMS
12. SCI2015 SCIENTIFIC PRACTICE AND COMMUNICATION (ADVANCED)
13. CHM2922 ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY AND SPECTROSCOPY
14. MTH2010 MULTIVARIATE CALCULUS
15. ESC1011 PLANET EARTH: OUR PLACE IN THE UNIVERSE
16. PHS1080 FOUNDATION PHYSICS

This one was done quite quickly, so a proper sit down and hour-long evaluation could probs shift it a bit (not the last three though, those were horrible). This goes doubly for the italicised ones.

I've based mine on things such as, how engaging the unit was, how stressful it was, how interesting it was and how real it felt. (eg, MTH1035 was super interesting, but super stressful, so not too high. Meanwhile, MTH2222 and CHM3180 rank similarly in all of them, but 2222 seemed really menial and basic, whereas 3180 actually feels like I'm doing something /real/ in it [yesterday, I made polystyrene. :D])

does anyone know if there's a poker club on campus? I've tried searching around but everything I find is old.

Not anymore, you can start up your own official club or just get an informal collaboration together. A poker set isn't real expensive, if you dont need MSA funding, might not be worth jumping through all the hoops. Just post a time and a date on stalkerspace and people will come (i'm in, so thats at least two?).

I've been here a long fucking time so my list is going to take awhile..

Hall of Fame

1. ATS2861 PHILOSOPHY: GOD, FREEDOM AND EVIL [First philosophy unit i ever took, its what started it for me, opened a new world]
2. ASP1022 - LIFE AND THE UNIVERSE [It's such a good blend of biology, astronomy, aliens, computers, geology and so on]
3. PHA2022 - DRUGS AND SOCIETY [Again, another sentimental pick, where it all started]

4. ATS2862 - PHILOSOPHICAL EXPLORATIONS OF WORLD RELIGIONS [First exposed to Buddhism and other religions, sparking a long love]

7. PHA3042 - MODERN DRUG DEVELOPMENT [very novel content, not just out of a textbook, industry based and awesome]
8. ATS1041 - WORLD RELIGIONS I [First exposed me to Sikhism, etc; Good teacher]
9. ATS1040 - RELIGIONS AND THE MODERN WORLD [Opened questions to me like "cults" vs "new religions", feminism, politics, etc]

10. PHY2011 - NEUROSCIENCE OF SENSATION, BRAIN AND MOVEMENT [My lowest and highest grade, 33 and 89, feat. ramesh]
11. BIO1011 - BIOLOGY I [Content was good but also nostalgia for labs and people]
12. BIO1022    - BIOLOGY II

13. ATS2185 - BIBLICAL TEXTS AND CONTEXTS [seamonsters and erotic poetry are in the bible, adam and eve may be hermaphrodite, who would have known?]
14. PHA3032    - NEURO AND ENDOCRINE PHARMACOLOGY [loved the content but extensive self study left me knowing most of it before]
15. PHA3011 - PRINCIPLES OF DRUG ACTION

16. ATS2870 - PHILOSOPHY OF RELIGION
17. PHY3111 - SENSATION AND MOVEMENT
18. PHA3021 - DRUGS IN HEALTH AND DISEASE

23. ATS1325 - CONTEMPORARY WORLDS 1
24. PHY3111 - SENSATION AND MOVEMENT

Wall of Shame
25. BCH2011 - STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION OF CELLULAR BIOMOLECULES [Got like a 33 but the content was interesting]
26. PHS1080    - FOUNDATION PHYSICS [Would be lower if this isn't where i made my first friend]
27. DEV2022 - EARLY HUMAN DEVELOPMENT FROM CELLS TO TISSUES [Much more focus on anatomy than 2011]
28. MTH1010 - FUNCTIONS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS
29. DEV2011    - EARLY HUMAN DEVELOPMENT FROM CELLS TO TISSUES

I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of ESC1011. That unit blowwwsss.

The book can be returned to any campus.

If you are on the same campus, it must be returned to the same library you borrowed it from. It used to be that you could hand your matherson books in at hargrave but that caused a lot of headaches to allow people to be slightly more lazy.

... I have never seen nor heard of this before. I'd ask your tutor. It could just be they're doing something weird.

Ok. Here we go.

1. MEC2402 - Design I. I'm sure this one is every mech/mechactonics/aero student's fav.
2. ENG1060 - Computing for engineers. If there is one thing that holds my wam up it is this unit :D
3. PHS1011 - Physics . Kevin was the best.
4. MTH1030 - Techniques for modelling. Leo was the best.
5. ASP2062 - Intro to Astrophysics. It was fun and useless at the same time.
5. MEC2407 Electromechanics - Currently doing it and loving it.
6. MEC2401 - Dynamics I - Really cool concepts.
7. MTH2010 - Multivariable Calculus
8. ENG2092 - Engineering Maths B - It was cool until I saw statistics again. Who puts simple statistics stuff in complex analysis? I took this unit because I was going to drop science. At the end, I dropped both aero and science. It's useful though :D

And the meh ones.

9. MAE1041/MAE2405 - What the hell is that? What the hell is this?
10. PHS2011 - Physics. Most useless unit I've ever done. I should've changed degrees last year :(
11. MAE2400 - Boring.
12. MTH2032 - quel est ton nom?
13. MAE2402 - Thermo. Go away pls.
14. MAE2404 - Meh unit. Cool concepts. Could've been better.
15. MAE2401 - It's taking so long now.
16. ASP1011 - I hate essays so I sacrificed 10% in this unit (don't ask)
17. MAE1042 - Can we finish this game?
18. PHS1022 - No?
19. MTH2021 - This is intuitive. That's intuitive. This is trivial. That is trivial.
20. MAE3401 - I should've not underestimated this unit.
Can't remember the rest...Still 19 units to go. This is fun. Hey, at least my wam went up by 7 points by simply changing degrees :D Worth it!
