Any new students attending any of the Host Scheme Camps? I'll be on Camp #2 as a Host and will probably be visiting on the others as a part of MSA Activities and would love to meet you guys!

For those who aren't yet going but are considering it or straight up haven't heard of it, I'd highly recommend going as it's a great way to make some new friends and have a whole lot of fun. (who knows you might even get me as a parent :D)

Feel free to check out the info below if you're interested.

Hi i was wondering how notes at uni work. Do people sell them or give them out once they are finished, like the notes section of this site?

At this i was wondering if anyone had any notes available for the following units.
ATS1281: Understanding crime: An introduction
ATS1314: Human rights theory 1
ATS1325: Contemporary worlds 1
ATS1873: Introduction to international relations

Also is buying the unit guide a must? Whats the difference between a unit guide and a textbook?

Unit guides are freely avaliable on the internetz and they just provide information on unit assessment/mode of delivery etc. Perhaps you are thinking of the 'unit reader' which in arts units generally just contains your weeky reading content that is discussed in tutes (buying them is a must).

Yes, the notes work like you said.

Yeah i meant the unit reader  8) For textbooks, how will we know if we need it or not? As for the lecture slides, they give those out to students yeah?

A lot of people wait a week or two after the unit starts before buying the textbook just to see if it is actually needed. I would recommend the textbook for contemporary worlds 1 it was pretty good and well written (assuming they are still using the same one). Lecture slides are usually uploaded to moodle as well so even if you don't attend the lecture in person or watch it online you can still have a look over what was covered.

Well, on mymonash there is a scholarships section where you can view your offers and whatnot. For incoming students I would assume they would go through VTAC maybe? Not sure.

If you go on WES there should be a scholarships section where you choose payment method and input details

By any chance did you accept your scholarship offer using the details in the letter by the deadline date? That could be a reason why or if Monash T&C's clash with another scholarship as well..

No. The letter just told me that there was nothing more for me to do. But I can't find where I can actually input my payment details. I should find the letter first.

I remember needing to go online and accept my scholarship offer last year. I suggest you call them on Monday.

The link to provide bank details is in WES in the top right hand scholarships section as can be seen here http://imgur.com/a/0oPwB
