Hey guys anyone got suggestions for where to hold a 18th birthday party, for about 60 people?
I've striked out on a ton of restaurants and bars. Reluctant on Scout halls and marquees.

What are you looking for? A large open space for dancing? A highly formal/casual eating affair? Lots of booze out in the open?

Look for a place with allows under 18s obviously (wristband system?), bar, dancefloor
Any southeastern suburbs - inclusive of city and areas like richmond, prahan, st kilda

Pretty Please in St Kilda is decent, might be able to organize something for them.
I can't think of a lot of places on chapel st that will let you do under 18s and will be big enough to host 60 people. There's a place called Mofo Lounge I went to recently but I can't remember if they had a DJ area.

WahWah Lounge in the city has an upstairs room/area thing with bar/DJ booth for hire, that would work?

Considered the trashy places on Glenferrie road? They'll do under18s for sure lol

I went to Ilk Bar in collingwood for a couple, they don't care if you have under18s and they're pretty awesome about organizing speakers or whatnot.

Wow, you're expecting 60 people. How much did you end up inviting- like 100??
Why not just have it at home? I dont think people really care where it is, or will find it less enjoyable because its at home. Kids these days just want booze and then everything would be all good.

But yeah, I know some people have had like 21st birthdays at Wah Wah and underage people have gotten in.

I would love to have it at home but their isn't enough space, want we can't really fit in a marquee due to awkwardly placed trees :/

I'm guessing your planning your party for December or January?? If so, why the hell do you want a marquee??? Its summer dude, let people roam your backyard, if you want an outdoor gathering. Have BBQ, or just order pizza, get the drinks happening and hope it doesnt rain.
Or be like me, have a party in early december, have a really lame theme, have decent music, have decent food, have it inside your house, in a really awkward way (does anyone else think having carpeted floors as a 'dancefloor' is weird?) but let people go outside. Summer party done!

Give Wah Wah lounge in the city a try, mate recently had his 18th there.

-nvm russ had it down

Where do you live approximately? You can try Shine Bar in Glen Waverley

Can also try http://www.skinnydoghotel.com.au/, but i'm not sure on their U/18 policy
