Assuming a relatively similar difficult as last year what ss could I expect with:
Sac's: 90/100
GA1: 35/40 or 34/40
GA2: 63/80   Thanks ^.^

Wrong thread but somewhere in the vicinity of 38-40

ARRRGGHH! GUYS FOR A GENERAL SOLUTION QUESTION.

I WROTE THE BASE ANGLE AS PI/3 INSTEAD OF PI/6

SO MY ANSWERS WERE BOTH WRONG because of the incorrect base angle!!!! DO I GET METHOD MARKS? OR ARE GENERAL SOLUTION QUESTIONS ONLY REWARD ANSWER MARKS?

Arghh my method was right but my answer was wrong

Was there a general solutions question? I'm pretty sure it had a restricted domain.

yup, what i meant to say is i used the general solution method to find specific solutions within domain (subbing values into general sln). I got the base angle wrong though!!! :( will i still get method marks?

i wrote pi/6 instwad of pi/12

why is this wrong? 2013 exam 2 q

How come you got an extra -k? I tried with my calculator and got the same answer as the report.  I think they did area of triangle minus area under curve since  area under tangent is a triangle.

For independent events, Pr(A n B) = Pr (A) x Pr (B)
0.8= 0.6 + Pr(B) - 0.6 Pr(B)
0.2=0.4Pr(B)
Pr(B) = 0.5

If you sketch the derivative of the function, you'll see that it will never equal zero, hence there can never be any stationary points for f(x)

2007; The circuit has 2 components, one between [10,20) and [20,30]. If you try use [10,20) to determine the value of b for which this maximum occurs, you are negating the other component of the circuit. Thus, the 2nd part of the function, between [20,30], must be in your calculations.

2011; At dT/dx=0, Tazzy will reach the plant at the minimum time. However, as the function is decreasing, when dT/dx<0, k won't return a local minimum but rather, an absolute minimum for the graph.
