What if you knew that considering the amount of work you did (or lack of) you could do wayy better??
Still, I'm over high school, need to move on with the rest of my life. Move past all the crap that comes with immature high-schoolers. Move towards more independance and enjoy life again!

OHHHHH true dat!
But idk, imagine how much you'd ace all your subjects second time around. I reakon if I've screwed up massively, I would repeat.
It depends on what my options and pathways are, I guess.

Every single science exam I've done in uni has been 3 hours. :) But at least it's not essay writing...

Speaking as someone who repeated a VCE subject after completing the VCE last year, it wasn't really worth it.

Actually I repeated Japanese. Did it once in yr 11 and got 42. I was forced to still do 5 subjects in yr 12 alongside uni jap 'in case I dropped out of it' by the principal, so I decided to redo jap. Did literally nothing for it except for like a past exam or 2 the night before (same detailed study and all) and got 3 study scores higher. Didn't change my enter by much at all, but then again I put no effort in so I guess it was kinda worth it.

I think it's reasonable to repeat a subject if you don't get a prerequisite. If you get a 24 in Methods or English and you know you can do better, a year working and going to TAFE might not be so bad. Repeating five subjects though... is there a screaming icon I can use?

Would you do it? I've been thinking about it for a while now, and I think if I get <85, which is 10 less my aim (roughly,) I think I'd re-do year 12.

Depressing topic, much?

Dude, even if I got an ATAR of 10, I wouldn't repeat. Year 12 English for the 3rd time? No thanks.

If I got a super shit ATAR, such that I couldn't get into ANY of my preferences, I would think of some other pathway (TAFE etc)...No fucking way VCE again.

Pursuing your chosen pathway through TAFE doesn't really make sense because, correct me if I'm wrong, it's going to take up more of your time than recompleting a single subject?

What would you guys do if you were not able to even do TAFE, for example:paramedic, police, army etc?
