Guys, can you please lay off Thushan?  Speaking from experience, the constant circlejerking of saying 'xyz is going to get 99.95' is arguably the most irritating thing on earth.  It's unnecessary, particularly when there's so much pressure in the air.

In response to the topic title, I would say that it's achieving to a standard which you believe is reflective of your potential.  Take that as you will.

Revised version for Asians.

90+ is death by hanging
95+ is death by firing squad
99+ is death by guillotine
99.7+ is disowned by parents
99.95 could've done better.

I know I'm asking a really obvious question, but what about below 90? I'd at least like to know how my parents will carry out my death sentence tomorrow...
I always look a little lost.

The model of a bell curve itself pretty much shows that...

Last time I looked, the probability density function of the normal distribution WAS exponential.

Ahaha not irritating I say, because their intentions are brilliant and have kept me motivated throughout the year. It's just now that I'm starting to feel scared that I'll let you guys down...

A good ATAR is one where the people you associate yourself with also consider good. Including parents.

Sorry Asians.
