Yeah, almost no one knows about it.  Pretty sweet loophole.

Either way it is a win. You get a good score and don't have to do it again, or you go into the March one the following year with a far better indication of how at will be and will have been able to study on weak areas and be more used to the structure and timing of the test.

I would recommend taking the UK GAMSAT for prep over any of the prep courses available.  Tbh, they all seem rather pointless.

With GAMSAT scores do you keep the best score you have or is it the latest score?

I would assume your best score that is valid. (ie. if I was to sit GAMSAT AUS 2012 it would not be valid for 2015)

Nah nah, I'm pretty sure you need to be in your penultimate year to sit the GAMSAT (regardless of whether you take the GAMSAT or the GAMSAT UK).

Technically yes but, your 'penultimate' year or 'ultimate' year is not so set in stone. For instance, you might even think next year is your ultimate year when you end up failing all your subjects and have to stay back a year. For me, my first year would be my penultimate year--how would they stop me from doing it in first year?

Sorry, but this is not correct, even though it may say it on their website.

The correct way to describe the validity of results is that they must be no more than two years old at the time of applying.

GAMSAT UK 2012 is in September, and applications for 2015 MD entry close in June or July of 2014.  This is less than 2 years, and hence the results are valid and may be used to apply.

Trust me on this one. :)

Just out of curiosity, how come your BSci is only two years long? I'd love to have to only do two years of Science!

Either way it is a win. You get a good score and don't have to do it again,

I'd still do it again, perhaps the March of your final year. You can always improve and there's also the risk you won't make it into the MD on your first attempt - then a more recent score means you don't have to resit it the next year for less stress
