I actually tried in my GAT and I ended up being disappointed with my results

Written Communication - 28
Mathematics/Science/Technology - 35
Humanities/Arts/Social Sciences - 35

[Greatness]

Written: 43
Math/sci: 39
Humanities: 34

Whats the purpose of the GAT, did it affect our study scores??
And for the written communication part, would that score be a fair reflection of how we would go in vce english?

yeah I'd like to know this too...I would be thrilled with a 35 for english

I got a 38 without trying last year, got a 43 with trying this year, and got 36 in english. Take it as you will, i reckon it is fucking bullshit.

and lol, they give you the option to apply to get a statement of marks for the GAT.

Woooh! Got mine. I got SO MUCH mail today: VCAA results, VTAC certificate, letter from Monash, vouchers from RACV free2go AND a bracelet that my friend bought me <3.

I did much better than last year:
Written: 49 (37/40)
M/S/T: 50 (35/35)
H/A/SS: 50 (33/35).

The Written communication score just makes me angry I didn't do better in English EDIT: Now I REALLY wish I'd been sick for the English exam...would've gotten me a 99.95 

EDIT: These GAT scores are further proof that my brain works well, I just don't work hard enough Whoever said genius is 1% what you're born with and 99% hard work (or whatever the saying is) was right.

DOUBLE EDIT: I've also learnt that I would've done pretty well with humanities subjects. I <3 history.

the gat for english doesn't correlate at all for real english scores.

ALthough i didn't try , I ended up with <20 for the written communication part of the GAT.

but i ended up with 49 in english.

YOu can't really use the gat as a measure, although true you probably would have gotten a higher score than 43

Definitely stronger on humanities than on maths.

@Jdog Nah, I mean, they use the GAT scores for derived examination scores, ie. I would've probably gotten a nice high derived exam score. A 47 in English would get me a 99.95...
