I like jewellery shops. Makes me think of what I will buy a girl to propose.  ;D

Buying women jewellery is a guilty pleasure of many men.

Reminds me of a story. I bought my girlfriend of the time an expensive rose gold locket to give to her. Cost me a lot for a poor student. She broke up with me and said I was not going out and doing dinner and stuff like that with her enough. Explain I just spent a lot of money on a rose gold locket for her. Her face dropped. Told her it did not matter now and that was that.

Go to a mutual friend's birthday party a few weeks later. She comments on how nice a new gold ring is I have. Asked me where I got it. Told her that I returned her locket and spent it on myself.

Man I felt good.

Haha good form, I was in a similar situation where my ex wanted J'adore perfume so I saved up for one of the overpriced bottles of shit and was going to give it to her on her birthday. Got dumped so ended up giving it to mum and she goes around telling everyone what a great son I am for randomly buying her a 170$ bottle of perfume for 'being my mum'.

That said I've got my priorities straight nowadays and actually get gifts for family haha.

man, (okay this is gonna sound uber weird over atarnotes) you sound like a genuine, nice guy. there really should be more of people like you around.

Haha, nah, it is cool. Thank you :) I think that is my problem sometimes. But, then again, sometimes I can be quite the opposite when people get me in a mood. Heh.  :-X

That is so nice! I probably should have spent my money from the return on my mum, now that I think of it. But, yeah, always good to buy the important women (and men) gifts or just do sweet things for them randomly. Everyone likes to feel thought of and special. Little boxes of chocolate are a great one, and do not bust the bank when on a money low. 8)
