lol, with the phenolphtalein one, I got underestimated too! I was so annoyed, cos I'd written like three lines explaining it ntil I realised!

Yeah, TSFX exams are thought provokingand hard, but I reckon Neap and Insight have a question style which is similar to VCAA

Sorry to double post, but with Question 9 Multi Choice on the TSFX Exam, (Chlorine is mixed with propene. How many different compounds are obtained?) the answers say 1, because addition reactions only produce 1 product, but couldnt it be two because isomers are produced?(1-chloropropane and 2-chloropropane)? lol any ideas?

With Q9 - If you mixed HCl with propene, you would get two products (the isomers 1-chloropropane and 2-chloropropane), but since you're mixing chlorine gas, you would only get 1,2-dichloropropane. Therefore you only get one product.
