IS ANYONE DOING OPTOMETRY AT DEAKIN??????????????????????????

*shrug*. I had 3 SEAS categories I qualified for, filled out everything, applied, was 3 under ATAR clearly-in, didn't get an offer. Kinda sad, but meh. What can I do? lol

what was the clearly in for optom? i dont think they had one?

CourseSearch has updated it to reflect this year. It's a brand new course, but the '2012 Clearly-In ATAR' is 91.70. I got 88.70 rofl.

my friend got 88.50 and i got 91.45 ... but we both applied for transfers from pharmacy.
alot of spots will come up .. i dont think we are taking ours .. so you might get a second offer.

if i were you .... id avoid optom or pharmacy lolz

I have personal reasons for wanting to be an optometrist (my eyes suck, and yet it's not cause I have bad vision) and I don't want to be a doctor.

yeah he had 88.50 .... but keep inmind we both applied with 6.0-6.5+ GPA's ( distinction to almost HD)

fair enough if you have personal reasons , just keep inmind i think its declining rapidly. .. maybe not as bad as pharmacy though so yeah.
Do a science course and then apply for transfer or post grad.

However , Pharmacy seemed like the better option.
after speaking to their faculty/lecturers etc .. I wasn't a fan. too rude.
