I feel terrible for calling you a boy, Starfish. I need to make a serious effort to look at the given gender sign. :P A non Year 12 2013 member guessed the lie so whoever posts below me and belongs to the 2013 cohort can have the next turn.

Last day of school holidays. T_T I'm in two minds as to whether I should make some revision notes for GMA or just have the final day off (I haven't had one homework-free day so far). I can just see myself procrastinating now and nothing getting done. Haha! :P

Yeah, might be good to take some time off, but maybe not the whole day, that's a compromise, maybe eat out for dinner tonight or something :P

Fantastic. I had two classes and went home at 11:30.

Was anyone else about to die of fatigue by the time they got home? I was so tired for the whole day :(
Good news is I got 20/20 on my Graphs and Relations SAC.

Anyone else feel as though they have too many practice resources yet no time to do them all? I've got Methods 3/4, and been doing the exams etc but still feeling super doubtful.. and I'm sorta freaking out every night before I sleep.
I know it's only one subject but. Any pearls of wisdom? :\

There's no way to get through ALL your resources, and from my experience, I probs got through 25% of everything I had :)

You won't be alone, just focus on your weaknesses and getting prac exam experience!

Absolutely gunned my major Media project, which is essentially a small-scale SAT that we do in Y12. 26/30 from the harshest marker I have ever had, so I was pretty happy with that..

Has anyone done/is doing Further and Methods in the same year? See, I want to do Commerce at Melb, and it requires Methods as a pre-req. I've always been really good at and enjoyed the 'Further' side of maths - the statistics and numbers side; but just average (in Methods) with the algebraic side - to give you an idea, I would be stoked with a 28-30 raw for Methods. So I thought it'd be a good idea to do both Further and Methods next year to get used to business and statistics maths as well as the algebraic maths - I absolutely regret not doing Further alongside my other Y12 subject this year.

I'd be swapping it for Revolutions. While I love History, I'm conflicted as the workload looks to be way too much, and I have very similar Humanities subjects either completed or completing. And on top of that, it has nothing to do with my tertiary aspirations...

Sigh...so many bloody things to think about!

Congratulations on your Media result! :D

Further and Methods can be a good combo but don't do it if you think you'll enjoy another subject more. Further has a pretty small workload compared to Revolutions, but you might find you'll do just fine if you pick it up at university. :)

Yes, except I overworked myself to make sure I got through them all and finished three weeks before my exam. In other words - pace yourself! You just need to accept that you're human and you're not going to get through it all. Also, doing a few trials properly is better than rushing through a lot of trials and not using them to your advantage.

I'm glad I wasn't allowed to do Methods this year because I seriously don't think I would have had the maturity to cope with such a demanding subject (I got through Further with a struggle as it is). These little obstacles are great learning curves for next year - I already know what I need to do differently in order to maximise productivity while looking after my wellbeing next year (eg not working ahead during the summer holidays and actually giving myself an adequate break).

Methods really isn't very demanding at all, I'm sure you'd have been fine :P If you do all the exercises it's rather straightforward.

disagree ^ 10  :P

By the way, for the year 11s on this thread who are doing 3/4 subjects this year, when are your Unit 2 exams, and how are you planning to manage your time so you do well on all subjects?
