-Well normally we do GUAIA, Twelve Angry Men, The reluctant fundamentalist and Sometimes Gladness, but there's rumours that'll change
- Used to be I&B, but they conveniently changed it to Encountering conflict for next year (so we won't do GUAIA), DESPITE the fact that our unit 1/2 was I&B. Just as everyone warmed up to it, they decide to be cool and change it -.-
- I used to suck really bad, but over the past two years it's been going much much better (amongst the top 5)
- The teacher we're rumoured to have is apparently reeeally good, so hopefully we have her next year. Overall though, most of the english teachers at our school are really good :)

I only just found this out very recently due to the book list haha. :P

1. I'm studying On the Waterfront, Interpreter of Maladies, Spies and The Lot next year. I don't know what these books are like, but I'm hoping they're a pleasant read. :)

2. I'm doing Whose Reality? for context, unfortunately. I was hoping for Encountering Conflict or Exploring Issues of Identity and Belonging, because I don't understand what my context is really about. Hopefully I'll learn it soon. :S

3. I do alright in English (my SACs are usually around 80-90%) but I need to work on my context writing, as well as writing in the exam situation. I'm considering getting a tutor next year because I've tried fairly hard to work on my English and while it has improved, the standard to which I should be writing at has also increased and it will only continue to do so throughout next year.

4. I found out my teachers for next year and I'm happy with all of them with the exception of English. I have my Year 10 English teacher next year and while he was alright, there were a couple of other teachers who I was really hoping I'd get. :/

It's a great context, very interesting. Too bad Streetcar's time was up though :/

Can you report to this report even if you're only doing one or two 3/4s as a year 11 in 2013?

They're doing Death of a Salesman now though, which is potentially a better text!

I managed to fit seven chapters of Physics summary notes on one double-sided page of notes using size 6 font. I win, VCE Physics.

Yup. So the best thing for Year 11 folk to do is reflect on the deeper meanings of each of these prompts, as well as try to source evidence and examples from outside of your text. That way come SAC and exam time you'll have developed a really complex philosophy on the context and you'll be prepared for basically anything. There's also the matter of nailing your preferred form and style, which is something you'll do through constant practice.
