To be honest I don't feel like I've had much of a break ( working) but perhaps I'll take the last few weeks off to just relax. (The money probably isn't worth it if I'm going to come into year 12 feeling burnt out)

I've just started my homework. Russia is a crazy place. ^_^
You'd be surprised how worth it the money can be! Keep in mind that the more you work now, the less you'll be stressed (and the more opportunities you will have to destress) through the year. Save your monies, son. A few weeks off to relax sounds like a really good idea.

Telling you to do what you're doing pretty much haha. Take a few weeks off before school, but prior to those few weeks off, work as much as you can and just keep in mind when you feel tired that you're doing yourself a big favour.
Thanks, son.

Isn't it better to keep on working, a bit a day?
That way (no rhyme intended), you'll be ready to work when school starts.

I think work in the above context was in terms of part-time jobs

Has anyone here started their preparation for the UMAT next year? It completely slipped my mind up until now. :/ I think I'm going to have to start as soon as the New Year's holiday is over. Everybody else probably has a huge headstart on me now. :P

Although, I keep having doubts about sitting the UMAT. I'd literally be sitting the UMAT for one course (Monash MBBS) since my parents won't let me move interstate, yet I'm not completely sure I want to be a doctor just yet (I'm certain I want to go into health though). I'd hate to waste time and effort doing all this preparation and then by the end of the year decide to go for a Science degree because I'm still unsure.

Perhaps I'm just talking myself out of it because it's a difficult challenge. By the same token, I might be pretty annoyed if I didn't sit the UMAT and then decided I do want to become a doctor. I don't know. I should probably sit it to keep as many options open as possible.

Definitely sit it. You lose nothing taking it, but you do lose a very big opportunity if you do not.

I'm pretty sure T-Bag said he only did UMAT prep a few weeks before it? :P Is that right?

The monies might come useful during the year! I worked full time 90% of my holidays last year. Worst time of my life. But I made $1500 and I was happy for the rest of the year. I have none of that now. LOL

just keep in mind when you feel tired that you're doing yourself a big favour.
Thanks, son.

Yeah, work with that mentality. I'm sure we don't need to explain how nice it feels to have heaps of dosh in your bank account.

I'm not sure just yet. Section Zero looks quite good and I might use MedEntry as well.
