Wow, your school must be tough. I have a SAC for English week 5 (oral) and another one some time before that, though I don't know when exactly.

For Chem, our first SAC is week three I think, which is reasonable. :)

I have a SAC for English on the second week of school! Good thing, I've done the oral already. Whew.

I have my English SAC on the first lesson back I think, haven't even started, fml.

Hoping finish reading both my english texts today and answer all 78 questions, seems a bit overambitious to me, but at least getting The Reluctant Fundamentalist out of the way would be good.

Question, when it comes to the English exam, for text response, rather than discussing your year 12 context, could you instead discuss the one you studied in year 11?

Maybe you could, but I guess it means extra work for you: studying the texts from that context, familiarising yourself with it in case you've forgotten, etc. and this is all on top of studying the texts and all for your current context, which is the one that your school will be giving you SACs on! I guess it's possible (not entirely sure), but it'll probably be a lot of hard work

I mean, people study extra books from the text response section and respond to those in the exam, so why not for context?
Just assuming though haha

Glad to know that I'm not alone when it comes to not having done all my English questions. :P

And with the question, I'm assuming you're talking about the context and not the text response? I think you CAN do that, seeing as no one can actually do anything to stop you in the exam room, but it'd be best to write on the one you studied in Year 12, seeing as the way in which you study the context in year 12 is probably more exam-orientated, as opposed to the way you studied your Year 11 context :) Though I may be wrong. :)

^ the questions I have don't seem too bad, just got another 6 down, 72 to go!

I meant context piece opps.

I wasn't planning on doing, it, was just curious. I really wouldn't want to make extra work for myself, but at the moment i'm not really understanding my context, like in terms of looking or articles, i don't understand what I should be looking for and as much as I got tired of the identity and belonging one, I understood it better.

^^yeah: that should be fine. From what I know, you can basically link anything to your prompt, like stuff in other books/current news/historic events etc. As long as it adds depth/another dimension to you context piece, you should be fine :)

I've read one novel, almost done maths methods hw (extended response still to do) and reading AN english study guide.

Still need to do spesh hw (chapter 1), read two other novels, watch one movie, do some legal (eg: do/read first few chapters) and do some accounting (eg: do/read first few chapters)

Still alot to do but I think I can do it :P

Has anyone started (or has already) going to tutor yet?
I've heard that Jacks, the guy in Springvale that tutors maths and science subjects, has already begun teaching lessons.

I was also about to ask my friends if they were free to catch up next Thursday...but then it dawned on me that year 12 begins next week already :o

^^lol: I know people that started when they got their results(for 3/4 in yr 11) 'cos they were so angry with their score. Don't worry too much, you can still do well without tutors.
