How weird, a few weeks back, I was thinking about this question too..my parents who grew up in China think in Chinese but here's something pretty cool: I have a chinese friend who despite growing up and living in Australia and despite being completely fluent in english, usually thinks in chinese (she accounts this to years of watching asian tv). 0_0

Not sure how true this is, but they say that its almost impossible to mentally do your multiplication tables in any language other than the one you first learned them in

This applies to me. I do my multiplying in Chinese and whenever we used to play this gnarly maths tag game in primary school (where you 'kill' the person next to you when you get the right answer, something like that) I always lost because everyone else beat me with their fast responses whereas I had to translate the numbers in my head. :( A lot of my friends are like this too.

haha, my mum and I do that too - in Arabic ... swearing in Arabic just sounds so much more creative and less crude
My dad definitely thinks in Arabic but my mum thinks in English ...

When I studied Italian in year 12 I even started thinking in Italian, even though I'm fairly 'Australian.' It's just what you're most familiar/comfortable with
