I don't really know what you mean; the BSc and the MEng are two separate degrees, with the latter being an 'actual' Masters degree. Does that answer you question?

As far as qualifications are concerned, I am not aware of any pivotal difference. However, you will have a greater theoretical understanding of the science underpinning your engineering knowledge if you follow the Melbourne Model (which make sense given that it is longer).

So employers see you BSc + Master of engineering at Melb uni as an actual master degree and not just a Bachelor of engineering. So doing BSc + Master of engineering through melbourne is better than doing Bachelor of engineering else were?

Nobody has graduated from it yet, so no-one knows how employers see it. It is probably slightly better than a straight bachelor of engineering, as you have done more subjects, but probably not any different to a BEng/BSc double degree.
