Would be great if someone could give a worked solution or explain this to me.
If a, b and c are linearly independent vectors, find the values of x, y and z, where
x, y, z ∈ R, if:

a) (x-3)a + (y+1)b + zc = 0
b) (2x+1)a + 3yb + (z+3)c = 0
c) (x^4-16)a + (y^2-12)b +(3z^2 + 10z + 8 )c = 0

Any help will be greatly appreciated
