Biology 50SS

Hey guys,

I need some guidance on how to get a 50 in biology.
I am very determined and motivated and I believe I can do it.
I am currently attending TSSM lectures on biology.
I do a fair bit of study and am always creating mind maps and other little notes and listening to podcasts, reading forums, etc.
Is there anything I need to differently to a person going for a 40?
What is the main difference that separates a person that gets a 40 from a person that gets a 50?
Also, I'm in year 11 and it is my only 3/4 this year.

Also, any other advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Just work hard and memorize.

More of the former, less of the latter (and this is for anything 40+)

Bio isn't the sort of subject where "memorising" is very important and/or useful. This is because you don't get too many "free" marks where you can just dump loads of info onto the exam, and the other question require you to UNDERSTAND the concepts and apply them to a scenario :)

Haha, I'm not the right man for tips in bio, I seriously didn't give the subject enough respect nor did I have good enough study techniques to be giving anything more than the general tips on questions (such as the one I did above)

Best to look at the pros over here: Biology Advice Megathread :)
