Bachelors Degree Vs. Masters Degree...

So, i've been thinking:

Would it be better to do a bachelors degree in, say, science...and then do a Masters in Marketing...? That way, you come out with this cool combo of science/commerce...but at a more higher level. I'm at melb uni....and i'm wondering about the possibilities of further study after BSc....i clearly don't want anything to do with science as my profession, so i'm really prepared to have a complete change of field...particularly in the business side of things.

Alternatively, however, would it have been better if i had simply picked BComm from the start...and just went straight to a job after this degree? i kow for sure, i want to work in the business field...but i'd also like to study science...and i'm not sure if i could do that as a masters..(since you need a relevant undergrad degree)

[Ps...i heard if you do masters you get more money!]

SO....any pros/ cons of either one?
2010: TNT (39)
2011: English (42) | Bio (39) | Chem (35) | Jap (35) | Methods (36)|

ATAR: 95.50 ( i actually got my prediction! :D)

I'm in the same place as you.. Doing science but wanna do commerce after. :)
I like the idea of studying science before going into commerce. But I do have the same questions sometimes. But as a result, I will be completing the subjects for an Informatics major so that I can move into some i.t/business fields hopefully after my undergrad finishes. Then from there with at least 2 years work experience, return for a masters in marketing or management.
And i'm pretty sure even if you study science, you can still move into business masters. Melbourne Business School has no prereqs, but look at your gpa, extra curricular and work experience, if i'm not mistaken.
At the same time, Melbourne Business and economics have a Masters in Management where you can specialise in accounting, marketing, etc.. And there aren't prereqs for these again, just gpa, etc.  So you do have options after your science degree for further study if you wanted. :)

For me, the only downside of doing science before going into commerce is the many more contact hours D: ... So lazy.
