Don't die of stress just yet Jayward. If you are in Year 12, you still got the whole year! Even if you don't get in, you can transfer courses mid-year, or end of year. A friend of mine doing BSc at Monash is aiming to do just that.

Agreed. I say you should still do your best and aim high, but don't worry too much if you don't get in. I know many people who have transferred from different universities, so that's always an option if you really want to do Pharmacy.

i just have a feeling that they may have been calculated differently before... my sis got a very high umat but it wasnt a complete statistical extreme. i know people that got in the 270s. not many, but a number of people

A while ago UMAT score was calculated by sum of the percentiles in each section. Now it's calculated by the sum of the scores for each section:

For example - I got a 92/51/74 = 217 overall UMAT. If you added the percentiles in each section they would have been 100/65/95 = 260. Perhaps that makes more sense now?

Like, I have met geniuses - real geniuses - and I can tell you I'm not one of them! *cough* C. Lu *cough* - and a fair few classmates of mine who just get things without trying...I have to study to get stuff, geniuses don't need to study at all.
