It's all right!

It's all relative to how the rest go and how well you do on the rest.

For example if everyone gets below 50% on a SAC the highest SAC scorer eg. gets 49% can still get a 50 study score.

How big is this in comparison to the whole SAC scores overall?

If it's worth 50 points for your school's SACs but gets translated to 10 marks for VCAA purposes you lost 4 marks, not 21.

But even though you 'lost' 4 marks if you're ranked well and the exams go well then it can be boosted up to less than 4 marks lost.

You can certainly still get a really good study score. I know this is a different subject, but my biology tutor did badly on one sac and she ended up getting a study score of 50! It depends on everyone else's marks. When VCAA look at them, if they see that your school didnt do too well for that sac then they bump it up a bit. Not a huge amount, but they make it fair because they understand that different teachers mark differently.  :D

You make me feel good now because i just got 17 out of 25 for my first bio sac...my second sac, I think probs around 19-21.
Give it a best shot on my AoS 2.

First SAC

Worth 50 points.
Recieved 29 points.
:(

Any chance of getting a 30 now if drastically improve? :(
You can definitely get low 30s with that score, right?
You can get high 30 or in the 40s if you try it again with your full power!!! :)
There's always a chance....

Also your teacher might be a hard marker, if you do well in the exam it will be worth it.

Yeah, 30+ is still definitely possible. I got an D+/E, one A+ and B's for English, probably did terrible on the exam (C+, B+,B+, not sure which one is exam) and got a 32.

What if my class results are more on the lower end of the grading system. My class has a bit less than 20 students for the whole cohort for Australian History. Most people got a C or lower and my friend and I got a B and A+ respectively. I am rank 1 in the SAC's so far, how do you think the SAC's will scale for my class. The highest study score was a 35 raw last year at my school(don't know if that is relevant). I don't know much about how your class affects your scaling for SAC's as I am undertaking this subject as a Year 11 student. Also I have heard that rank 1 doesn't get effected by scaling.

I got a mid A for mid years biology (I truly didn't work hard enough as it was my first ever exam and didn't know what to do lol) but then tried hard for the end of years and got over 40.
So it is definitely possible.
