Does agreeing to these terms  disadvantage you at all? It saids that it does not, but is there a hidden message or anything like that?

For Med students that had applied to UNSW did you agree? Or even apply at all?

Applicant’s Permission
I hereby give permission to the University of New South Wales to advise other medical schools in Australia whether or not it is making an offer of a place in its medical school, if requested to do so by those other medical schools.

I understand that the purpose of the disclosure of this information is to assist medical schools to more accurately determine the number of offers of places to be made.

I further understand that no medical school will withhold the offer of a place from being made to me on the basis of receiving such information.

It won't disadvantage you. It's for the university's organisational purposes - since there's heaps of applicants and most interstaters are probably using them as a backup (and would most likely go to a uni in their home state if they were offered a place there).

Late post, thought I'd reply since no one else has, never saw this thread =(
