Hi guys,
I was just wondering if you state in a balance sheet or profit and loss "less something" are brackets still necessary?

For example, is:
Less acc. Dep'n - equipment.  (200)

The same as
Less acc. Dep'n - equipment.  200

Or
acc. Dep'n - equipment (200)

Nope, it's one or the other.

if you say less, that means you're already subtracting, having a bracket ( ) around a term means it's negative, so you'd be actually adding it.

You either say less *no brackets*

or just have brackets ( )

In the neville box textbook, net cash used is still brackets, my teacher said thats correct, its also in solutions, just to let you know :) and in the balance sheet i think you write less accumulated and a bracket...
