lol bit early to be celebrating?
forgotten last year already?
Yes, a bit early. But we have every right to be celebrating, to come from where we were at the beginning of the season and from round 3 at 1-2 and in crisis talks to top of the ladder coming into the bye and winning 9 games from 11 with 1/2 to 2/3 of a best 22 team.
Difference between this year and last year, we won games comprehensively and easily in the first 20 rounds and probably peaked to early with all our guns firing. This year had to do it tough with multiple key players out for a majority of the time and getting games into younger players - who for the most part are doing very well.
Honestly, if we're at full strength bar season ending injuries come finals time, we are the team to beat. What makes me say this is that we are winning the games we're expected to win unlike the pretenders, and we have beaten teams when we were challenged and the odds were against us. Best part is we're doing this with the absence of key players and we are yet to show our form from late 2010 and early 2011.
Well done Collingwood, it truly is 'Us against them'!!
