Finish reading book or study themes and ideas?

I have focussed on other subjects rather than Literature recently, and haven't had enough time to finish Emma. Should I finish the book, or study idea's, themes, views and values? I only have a few days :(

(hoping for a response without the obvious: "you should have read the book!"

The word themes is generally taboo in Literature classrooms. I have no problems with it personally but just one to watch out for.

Which SAC is it? At this stage though it's probably best to focus on and develop your interpretation of ideas in regards to what you've read thus far. Even more importantly, read any material your teacher has given to you.

i didn't do lit but for English last year i didn't read one of the books because it was so boring but still managed to get a decent mark...however i do not recommend this! it is important to read the book but given that you have not read it do not stress

I think the best thing to do is to focus on themes as you have said and maybe do some research, ask friends who have read the book for important points that link with the topic and then start writing

and again don't stress  ;)

Also read through a chapter summary (theres a few decent ones iut there that are in-depth) so you get a good idea of the plot/who/what etcetc (if you do an exam style sac like we did)
