the system is clearly flawed
the fact that she got 99.95
So the system is flawed because she wasn't allowed to use a computer, despite the fact she was granted rest breaks? ANYONE WHO HAS REST BREAKS DURING THE ENGLISH EXAM IS LIKELY TO GET A BETTER SCORE. How the hell does that prove her disability?
This is all about precedents. If VCAA had let her use a computer for "wrist cramps", it creates a dangerous slippery slope. Considering she scored 99.95 and got into her course there's no reason for VCAA to change its ruling. This is just a really stupid scenario and common sense has to prevail.
And yes, this girl probably has no life and is trying to juke the system. Why would someone care about their ATAR 4 years down the track into studying medicine? Better yet, she's in her 20's and still has mommy fighting her VCE battles. I thought people had better things to do when studying medicine. What a joke.
yea i clarified this previously, i agree it's not a 'clearly flawed system'
but even still,
can we stop arguing about whether or not she is disabled? like what the hell, everyone here is going
'okay well she's probably not disabled, so lets call her a jackass'
and also 'anyone who has rest breaks during the english exam is likely to get a higher score' - what exactly is this in reference too ?
and you ask the same question as me, 'why would someone care about their ATAR 4 years down the track...'
you wouldn't, no one would...
becoming a doctor, that's a noble profession people who are passionate about the health of others become doctors, i assume that she may have had a personal attachment to the issue and feels cheated, and is trying to look out for others who may be like her have wrist issues.. isn't that a possibility?
Tell me 'no, there is no way, not a 1% chance that this girl didnt have a genuine disability and she is trying to juke the system. that despite being a 4th year med student, with the current workload of medicine, has decided that "Hey, i suddenly realised i want a higher enter score.. i know ill make some BS about my sore wrist and complain about it, because me and my mum are cool like that.'' ...'
i mean is there really a need to stereotype and attack her when we have hardly any information about this?
