So...when i solved something on the cas, it gave me the answer 12n1
The answer is supposed to be x=12 or x=24
How do i change 12n1 to the answer?

And can someone explain related rates of change to me in a simple way so i understand, i dont understand how someone gets d whatever or d whatever and how they figure it all out

ok im assuming the question had some sort of domain and you solved it on the calc without the domain.

firstly the n1 or another symbol that's often used is @, is a parameter, you can vary it to get all the solutions within the required domain, ie n1 = 1, 2, 3, etc

another way of getting the right answer is just to simply put in the domain restriction while solving on the CAS, this will automatically output the answer rather than a parametric equation.
