Uni enrollment dates etcetc??

Hey everyone

I'm going overseas in January, and I just want to enquire as to when the uni enrolments usually are?
And what exactly is the offer/acceptance/enrolment process??
Do you have to accept the offer(like through Vtac?) and then go enrol? (considering that if I'm overseas I'll need my Mum to do it :p)
 I have no idea And it just occurred to me I should find out soon :p
