Transfering to The university of Melbourne - music.

I am currently doing a double degree at Monash- first year (Bachelor of Music & Education (secondary)) and find out that its not my cup of tea.
I got an ARAR of 82.4 last year, 2011, and thinking of transfering to UoM, 40ss raw for music , 39 Further Maths (will that help?) 
Not doing too well in my uni subject because i really cant cope with two degree at once.
I am pretty sure that for music, you will need to sit an audition and musicianship test.
my performance is pretty good and i m alright with my music theory.

is it possible to transfer to UoM Bmus if i audition this year with my ATAR? and what if i do badly in my first year uni subjects? will that effect me transfering to UoM?

UoM doesn't look at your ATAR, you just need a 25 in English or 30 in ESL. What's more important is your audition and theory results.

I'm not sure what it means by "academic results"; I know quite a few people doing music at UoM and none of them were subjected to stringent academic requirements.
