I am currently doing a double degree at Monash- first year (Bachelor of Music & Education (secondary)) and find out that its not my cup of tea.
I got an ARAR of 82.4 last year, 2011, and thinking of transfering to UoM, 40ss raw for music , 39 Further Maths (will that help?)
Not doing too well in my uni subject because i really cant cope with two degree at once.
I am pretty sure that for music, you will need to sit an audition and musicianship test.
my performance is pretty good and i m alright with my music theory.

is it possible to transfer to UoM Bmus if i audition this year with my ATAR? and what if i do badly in my first year uni subjects? will that effect me transfering to UoM?

2010: Chinese Second Advanced
2011: ESL 3/4 【32】, Methods 3/4 【33】, Further Maths【39】, Music Performance 3/4 【40】

2012: Bmus / Bedu - double degree - @ monash.
2013: Bmus @ UoM

UoM doesn't look at your ATAR, you just need a 25 in English or 30 in ESL. What's more important is your audition and theory results.

I'm not sure what it means by "academic results"; I know quite a few people doing music at UoM and none of them were subjected to stringent academic requirements. You should probably email them to clarify what the requirements are for previous study (and whether you can get credit for them) http://vca-mcm.unimelb.edu.au/contact
