Trigonometry should not be particularly new, but the rest is more or less an extension of 1/2, hence you won't get too far based on your current knowledge. It will make more sense at the end of the year.

And thanks Pixon, whilst it did take me some time to put it together, the original authors of the materials should be thanked too
And yeah, if only you had it at the start of the year, you might have gotten 50.

Don't worry, it becomes familiar very quickly and this stuff is more useful after learning it properly in class.

Would trinon's method of using the 'scale factor' be viable in exam 1 of Methods?

Or would they (VCAA examiners) be allocating marks for working out? i.e. differentiating to locate max/min's, solving for x and y ints etc?

I believe when drawing graphs there are 0 marks awarded for working out, as VCAA does not assign you space to do that. IT is generally the positioning of stationary points, scale, correct shape, domain/range, and labeling axis/any point of intersection between two graphs.

So you can just do somewhat rough workings rather than take too much time setting your work out?
