This is the prompt for my next SAC (due Friday). I have no idea what to write about.

I was thinking to disagree with the statement, as people can easily belong without 'sacrificing aspects of one's identity', but sacrifices do happen.

The teacher told us we should try and include these 'big ideas' in our essay:
1. Nature vs Nurture - What makes us who we are?
2. Defining ourselves through others - The paradox of belonging.
3. The cost of belonging - Sacrificing the self
4. Our identity is constantly challenged and developing
5. Is it possible to choose not to belong?

We are doing 'Growing Up Asian in Australia', but that doesn't help me much.

Thanks in advance!
