ill definitely do the 2008 sample this week and hopefully do the 2010 and 2011 maybe this week or next. is it worth redoing an exam later on (eg 7 days after uve done it) to see improvements? or will the fact that ive seen the questions already mean that i wont benefit much?

No matter how well you're doing, I reckon just reading through the answers to the KBT exam (whilst reading the paper) would be beneficial to all.
So i should just do it untimed conditions and open book?
Have more confidence in yourself :P

I would try it untimed + closed book first (try and finish it in 90 minutes of course though), better to give it a shot and either see if you can do quite well on the exam or to see how many marks you can get when you have no idea about a question. That latter item there is probably the best technique you can learn from these more challenging trials.

The KBT exam is extremely difficult and that's coming from someone who's consistently getting 95% and above for other practice exams :p It's not so much that the knowledge is beyond VCE chemistry but it requires you to think really very hard, and it'll take quite some time to finish.
