I'm really hoping it's not an ERA type of write up with an experiment, but for that reason I think it will be haha :(
Otherwise I was thinking they could do something with comparing Atkinson–Shiffrin, Baddeley & Hitch and Craik and Lockhart?
Or (I realllllly hope they don't do this) a question focusing on the neural basis of memory (bringing in Kandel, LTP, the hippocampus, the temporal lobe, the consolidation theory, etc) but since last years was on Alzeimer's it might be too similar?

might be research methods, or something totally out of the blue - sleep deprivation maybe....

If they did Alzheimers again that would be a bad move.

Listen to the examinors in the connect ed lectures, they usually have a good idea.

Putting a bet on a sleep or consciousness based extended response.
‎"We divert our attention from disease and death as much as we can; and the slaughter-houses and indecencies without end on which our life is founded are huddled out of sight and never mentioned, so that the world we recognize officially in literature and in society is a poetic fiction far handsomer and cleaner and better than the world that really is."
- William James.
