I'm currently in yr 11 and studying h&hd, I didn't do a VCE unit last year, so I am freaking out about what is going to be on the exam!

Units 1 and 2 are no big deal, nothing is externally marked and so nothing counts towards your study score. I took health health in year 11 (units 1 and 2) and personally, I found it pretty easy. As far as I remember, the exams were basically just read case studies and answer the questions using knowledge from the text book but this was just my school..your school might do it differently.
Hope this helps :)

hhd unit 1 and 2 exams are more learning, memorising and then spitting it all back out in the exam. A lot of questions that just require you to define and explain. they tend to like to ask about nutrition. So probs a table where you  have to name/have nutrients named then have to talk about its function for health and food source. also has case studies which you will need to be able to analyse for dimensions of health, development, etc.
don't stress, you will be fine.

try to understand the content rather than just memorising because that will help you if you're doing 3/4. I did 1/2 and i just memorised everything and could analyse stuff so got 100 on every sac and exam then came to year 12 and realised I can't summarise and don't completely understand the stuff. Still doing well, but found it hard and had to put in ridiculous amounts of work. So focus a lot on application and it will make it so much easier for you in 3/4. it is all pretty much the same basic concepts except for development [1/2 looks and individual whist 3/4 looks at global]. You will be fine.
VCE 2012:

Chemistry (33),
Methods (34),
Biology (35),
English (36),
Health and Human Development (48)

ATAR: 91.60
