If I went really bad on a furhter SAC (I just passed it) but I've been doing reasonably well on all my other SAC's (80+) is it still possible to get a 40, if I manage to ace the exam?
And this SAC was one of the minor ones, not the huge ones.

Long story short, yes.

Overall what will determine your study score will be;
*your own Examination scores

*your scaled mark for SACs, which relates to;
   - your rank within your cohort
   - the strength of your cohort - how others in your school perform on the Exams

Let's say you end up with a high rank in a medium-strength cohort and perform relatively well on the Exams then, yeah, you could score 40+. This could also be achieved with a medium rank in a strong cohort whilst performing relatively well on the Exams. These are just some examples, many others exist.

Main thing to do is not give up on your aspirations due to one sub-par performance (relative to your own), keep working hard and you'll do fine!

It's about your ranking, not your mark.
