Derived score possibility?

Hey everyone,
Firstly, sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place, not sure where exactly it belongs haha.

About three weeks ago I got a gastric-like infection (vomiting, nausea, etc) and could barely eat for 8 days. I only went to school for one day because I had to run the assembly but missed all my classes. I did no study/homework in that period because, well.. you can't really concentrate without food.
The next week I got a flu type thing, migraines, etc. Pretty much had no energy and again did no homework or study. I pushed myself to go to school on the Friday to do a sac but was absent all the other days.
I then got migraines again on the weekend and on the Monday but managed to go back to school the next day (this is last week btw, 05/06+). I was only there for three days because we had last Friday off to study for mid-years.

I went to the doctors at least once every week in this period, and got certificates to give to school for my missed sacs.
I asked my co-ordinator whether it is worth applying for a derived score due to missing so much preparation/class time, and he said it's up to me but there's no guarantee anything will come from it unless I'm sick on the day.
I'm fine right now, and I only have one mid year (psych) on Wednesday.
Assuming I'm healthy on the day, do you think it's worth me applying for it? Has anyone had a similar experience? Did VCAA approve it?

Thanks in advance :)

Its really rare to get anything above 40+, to do so you have to be outstanding at that subject, if your not doing so bad its best to do the exam and hope you do better for end of years.
