q4c. With reference to one accounting principle, explain why advertising expense for the year is not the same as the amount paid for advertising. What did everyone put?

I did reporting period because of accrual accounting and the expense for the month is only that used during the month regardless of what has been paid in cash. Not sure about my principle though...

Yeah true, ah well what's done is done.

Off to start Unit 4, I guess.

Wow, so determined to do well.

I wish! It's more that I enjoy accounting so I'm not really bothered by starting it. My other subjects, on the other hand..

For everyone worrying about Question 1:

I have just confirmed that the "overdraft facility of $10000" simply means overdraft limit - this is not the actual bank balance of the firm.

Hence, Capital with a debit balance is not possible.

wat? how is that even possible than? so there is no capital? get fucked

Capital is there, but what you're thinking of is capital contributed by the owner (i.e. their personal cash/equipment) in which they decided not to do and opted for a loan which most business nowadays do anyway

I did (100*20) + (68*22) given under 'additional information', minus cost price as per stock card, less stock loss?

Probably low to mid 70's IMO.

It was hard, but 68/90 or 75% to be in the top 10% of the state is pushing it.
