Tips for tonight and tomorrow morning

Ahhh so close! Thought I'd take the opportunity to give some advice on what works for me prior to an exam :) take it or leave it, but the ones bolded I'd highly recommend!!

Tonight
  • Now it's after 6pm it's recommended to (if anything) be doing some light revision of notes, no more practice exams and try to avoid cramming (it often ends up confusing you more)
  • Try to just relax (as much as possible :P) and get a good nights sleep!
  • Eat a good, healthy dinner and drink lots of water so you're well and truly hydrated for tomorrow :)
  • AVOID NEGATIVE SELF-TALK!!! What's done is done, there's no point worrying about not knowing some concepts well :) the more relaxed you are tonight the better you will be tomorrow!
  • Get organised for the morning - get some pencils for the MC section, a few black/blue pens, highlighters, a drink bottle filled without a label, your ID card, an eraser, tissues and a watch if need be :)
  • Organise your uniform, bag and make your lunch so everything is prepared and you don't have to do anything in the morning

In the morning
  • Wake up with ample time to get ready and have a healthy breakfast :)
  • Have a glass of water or two, but DON'T have a lot, you don't want to be running out of the exam half way to pee lol
  • Don't drink energy drinks/coffee/tea if you don't usually!!
  • Make sure you arrive 15-20 minutes early and try to avoid chatting about what you have/haven't studied with your friends - it'll just freak you out! Instead try and find a quiet spot and just relax (deep breaths!)

As I said, take it or leave it but I know I would have liked someone to tell me this last year before my 3/4 haha.
So that's about it :) I guess all there is to say is

GOOD LUCK!!!!! :) :)
Just think this time in 24 hours we'll be discussing what was on it haha

I'd also recommend listening to something like classical music (some of yous probably hate it but just for this exam :) ) to calm your nerves as it's been found that students actually perform better when they listened to classical music prior (forgot for how long) to an exam since it slows down the heart rate!
