over all wasn't too bad, although i know i left off mol on two questions :( do you think i will get penalised much? also for the question where you had to give a verification on how you could make sure the sample was pure is it okay that i said just use an indicator because they were both acidic (alkanol and carboxylic acid)?

I'm actually pissed off. Did 51 practice exams and the freaking thing was easier than I expected.
They're gonna be tight about the worded answers and its specifics.
I was praying for a hard exam...
I'm scared my answers didn't mention the specific terms. Gah.
I guess its over now.

They won't be tight. Chem assessors generally try to GIVE marks rather than take them off. Were there a lot of explain questions?

If the units were given in the question like "find the amount, in mol, blah" then you won't be penalised for units so long as you expressed your answer in mol or the unit given in the qn

the MC was disgustingly easy not a single trick question at all

the only tricks that i thought students would mess up in short answer were:

1. the polymerisation reaction between the alkenes , split the double bond and join on the sites of splitting
2. the reagents for propyl propanoate were propan-1-ol and propanoic acid , thought kids would write propanol only

Was there a trick with putting the solubilities of the precipitates in? Were we supposed to use them in our calculations?

Am I the only person who feels like absolute crap after reading everyone's responses because I found it difficult?
Aspiring doctor. Why? For the same four reasons as everybody else. Chicks, money, power and chicks.

Ok am I the only one who found it really hard?  I pretty much put 0% effort in though :P

MC was good I think, but I left way too many blank in short answer and ran out of time to do some that I could have :(
Hoping for a C hahah

no, the solubility was given for the last question about why the lead nitrate wouldnt precipitate, because it has high solubility in water
