My mum just called the homephone from her bedroom and told me to come into her room.
I, completely paranoid, immediately thought, "there's a murderer in the house and he's ordered her to call me so he can kill us all"
So i walk to my death, to my parents room, looking for a weapon along the way but knowing my pepper spray is dead and I failed year 10 self-defence so there is little hope but maybe I can save them through self-sacrifice or something.
i get to the door apprehensively and was like, "Mummm! What is it?"
"just come in!"
"Mum, whats happening?"
"just come in!"
I open the door and mum is like, "there was an earthquake".

Felt it in Bairnsdale, 300km away from Melbourne.

5.2 on Richter scale in Moe apparently, at least their moccasins would have provided some shock absorption.
