After doing Japanese in semester 1, I'm strongly opposed to doing a language for anyone enrolled in a science degree. It eats up all your time and I personally found the subject I did quite boring and didn't particularly like the tutor which was no help.

Brother told me this. However I am still going to do spanish 1 next year :P

Reading the pdf that was linked in the handbook:
"Please note there is not a lot of parking around the campus – and you shouldn’t be driving anyway, as you will be tasting wine......As most of you would be on P plates, you should not drive at all."

Study something like Linguitics or Syntax, they seem to be pretty interesting.
