No it is not recorded, but 'technically' you could slip into another person's lecture if there are no spots available (online) because generally many people don't actually go.

Since no one replied to my other thread I may as well ask here -

Are you guys registering into classes with prereqs fine? Or do we have to wait until results come out so the portal knows that the subject needed is passed?

I'm having trouble enrolling to qm and micro, is this because I technically haven't passed the methods equivalent (done in sem 1) yet?

Is anyone having trouble registering pracs and tutes for first year biomed? How is it possible that every option is unavailable?

Also, how do I go about enrolling in a subject now? I've been trying to enrol in my breadth for ages but the study plan screen wouldn't let me check the box so I could "Continue to enrol"

Yes, many students are having this problem - particularly for Physics (for biomed). Just have to wait for the second round on the 12th of July and more spots will open up (Y)

I currently have a conditional offer for a MSc (i.e. I will only get through if I get a 65 average over my best 4 third year maths subjects). I don't know whether I should enrol in classes now for my PGDip or just wait until my results are released.

My timetable is pretty much the same as last semesters. Except now I finish earlier on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays =D

EDIT:

Just noticed FREN10003 isn't on there despite me timetabling it this morning. Ahh well. It's going to be one of those "you haven't passed FREN10001 yet so this is conditional" crap things.

Stats and Physics for Biomed in the one semester is possibly the worst combination of subjects that has ever existed. The lecturers are all terrible and the assignments are a pain in the ass and all worth such measly amounts yet take ages to do! Genes and Environment is the only good thing about Sem 2 First year!

This is why I got Stats over and done with int he first sem. The assignments were painful.

You would not have met the prereq's for that subject. I am trying to get into Finance (against my better judgement) but it says I don't qualify because I haven't done Intro to Maths or scored >25 for English or enrolled in BSc or BComm
Need to wait for the EPSC to manually enrol you... I sent them an email on thursday and still waiting... Sigh
Also, there are spots open for Physics for Biomed pracs on the Friday evening or wednesday (This one is till 8pm luls)

Honestly go to the Commerce building for this. I enrolled in this subject around week 4 and I went to the EPSC across which they told me to go to the Commerce building as they aren't in control of this.

Thanks for that :). That makes sense. Granted, I did chose the same stream ._.

This x1000.

With Physics, work your ass off from day one or you are screwed.

Stats in the other hand, whilst a complete pain, can be crammed hardcore which is good.  Doesn't necessarily mean you should slack off though.  The assignments and take home tests for this subject are a joke.  They take forever, and all for a measly 10%.

I liked physics and didn't find stats to be incredibly painful
