I liked physics and didn't find stats to be incredibly painful

*folds arms*

Haha, I'll agree with you now because I have fast learnt that things only ever get harder at uni.  Also, I've forgotten most of the awfulness of these subjects, so I bet you can barely remember them at all. :p

It is moreso about how the subjects are structured/organised/coordinated than the content itself...

I got onto Portal as soon as it opened up @ 10am. Registered and everything just fine this time :) No issues with enrolling into classes as like what happened with Biology of Cells & Organisms last semester. I just wish psych had more lecture times. Only times available for me are @ 5.15 which is too late. I'm a morning person and I'm too tired to think by that time.

Is anyone having trouble registering pracs and tutes for first year biomed? How is it possible that every option is unavailable?

Also, how do I go about enrolling in a subject now? I've been trying to enrol in my breadth for ages but the study plan screen wouldn't let me check the box so I could "Continue to enrol"

You would not have met the prereq's for that subject. I am trying to get into Finance (against my better judgement) but it says I don't qualify because I haven't done Intro to Maths or scored >25 for English or enrolled in BSc or BComm
Need to wait for the EPSC to manually enrol you... I sent them an email on thursday and still waiting... Sigh

Thanks. I called 13MELB and got the same advice to email EPSC. I think the reason is because I did English language because it says I haven't got >25 in English or ESL. But what...? The handbook says >25 in any English. Looks like I'm in for a longer wait. All the times I want will be gone by then :(

Also, there are spots open for Physics for Biomed pracs on the Friday evening or wednesday (This one is till 8pm luls)
Yay for Physics 2. Only prac I could enrol in. 8am-8.15pm is luls indeed

I might have a little problem with my clashed lecture stream. I'm going to switch to the Monday 9am Calculus 2 stream and continue my 11am stream on Wednesday and Friday. I'm pretty sure different lecturers take different streams? I remember that Calculus 1 had different lecturers that were at different points of the course so I might be either ahead or behind. Eugh. Do Calculus 2 streams include video when they're recorded or just audio?

Different streams different lecturers. The lectures are not recorded.

This could pose a problem because not all the lecturers go through the course at the same pace. This can mean that you'll miss out on some parts of the course and have others doubly covered (a waste of time). It's better to pick one stream and just stick to it.

Nope. Well, last semester it wasn't.

That's what I'm worried about. Never mind - I'll just attend the 9am stream. Thanks guys :)

Also just quickly off topic, are lectures for Principles of Business Law recorded?

It is not recorded but it's still good. Regardless of what people say.
I thoroughly enjoyed it

Lol, the division over this subject is classic.  So many people say it is great, and yet so many people say it is rotten!

I know like 15 people who have done it and they all hated it. Do you want a H2A? DO YOU? Because all of them are H1 students who got a H2A, I'm WARNING YOU.

LMFAO...I wouldn't do it in a million years mavis hahaha!

But seriously, from what I've been told all I think all you do in this subject is read like a billion case studies and have memorise every detail, and then get asked MCQs on them.
