OMG! Why are you so hard-working? :OOO
I havent touched Methods textbook since holiday started although I'm year 12 ==!
Well what you have to consider as well is that 50%-ish of the Year 12 Methods course is actually the Year 11 course - like say take differentiation - most of it is the same except they decide to add the chain, product and quotient rules...etc.
What I've considered is that it is actually possible to do around 40% (or even more in some cases) of a Year 12 Methods paper, just by using Year 11 knowledge alone - thus you can see why it would make sense to push and extend yourself when you are in Year 11.
Slightly of topic, but did u guys invest equal amounts of effort and time on exam 1 and exam2? or was one favoured more than the other? cause i was thinking that since exam 2s contribute more to our SS, i might spend more of my time practising exam 2 styled questions.
I spent an equal amount (well equal actually means I spent double the amount of time I spent on Exam 1 on Exam 2) - because I would always do practice exams as a set, so say I wanted to do VCAA 2010, I would do both the Exam 1 and Exam 2 before moving onto another set.
I will spend more time for exam 2 especially extended response questions.
This isn't the best tactic, although I know a lot more people struggle with Exam 2 than Exam 1 - it is not because they lack experience with extended response questions, it is because they haven't fully grasped the techniques which can be perfected by truly doing and understanding Exam 1.
Also, don't overlook the multiple choice - it's work quite a large proportion and it is easy to lose marks - I know that I lost a 50 in Methods because of an MC. (Partially)
